We updated the servers today so that now you can grab the latest product and service costs and prices 🔄

As mentioned previously, refreshing accessory configuration and is a much larger task so we’ll keep monitoring feedback on this here and in our other customer channels. If it’s proving popular, we can look to put some dev resource behind it.

This has been a big issue to us. We add an accessory to an item because we keep forgetting it.. then we keep forgetting it because the opportunities do not update. A little pop up when you open a opportunity that new default or mandatory accessories would be nice. A one push button is a bit scary to me as we use a lot of default counts that we tend to adjust per opportunity. e.g. each light has a default accessory of 1 lead and 1 jumper.. if we added 4 lights we would adjust to 1 lead and 3 jumpers..

Thanks for the suggestion, we’ll keep an eye on the number of votes on this one.

One thing that might help in the meantime is customizing your document layouts to include a date stamp. You can use this as a point of reference when dealing with different revisions.

To add a date stamp, the Liquid you’ll need is {% 'now' %}. Use date filters to change how the date is formatted.

We provide a free service to make changes to documents, so if you need help with this then just let us know at help@current-rms.com.

Its not just the version number that is the issue here.. there are plenty of workarounds for that.. it is the clutter, GEAR AVAILABILITY and switching between versions. In my fantasy feature world it would work like this.

From an opportunity you would choose "new version" maybe be given the choice of "start from scratch" or "clone from this one" then most importantly be able to choose which version is active. I assume from over in the actions area it would say manage version..or something like that.. and essentially just make all but the one you choose inactive. that way your opportunity is always in the planner and always holding only one set of gear.

And obviously.. each version would have a unique version identifier based on the original opportunity number. Job 123.1 or my choice would just be keep it clear and just do: 123 (version 1).

Despite throwing the word container around a lot.. Current-RMS does not seam to understand what a case really is. Fist and foremost. a case is a tangible thing, and is one of your products.
Beyond that, to us... a case is something make makes no money, something the client does not need nor want to know about, is something that may store only one item, or could store hundred, may have a mix of bulk and serialized items and may be permanent, per job or as long as i can leave it together till i have to reconfigure it..
To my point. I would like to see an option within product setup that ask "is this product a container?" is yes you would be given a few more options.
-is this product used permanently house a single item or group of items
-does scanning this container add its contents to an order or use its contents to fill an order. (check one)
    - does this container need to be "proofed" on check in or check out.

you could then use the picker or a scanner to "fill" this case. and a "dump contents button" would be nice too...

I know that there are several other wishlist items that touch on this but i have not seen one that address the core problem here which is.. every inventory item i own is either a case, or goes in a case.. and my inventory software does not understand that..

-(A) i want this.. but.. please don't make it so seamless that it makes it easy to overlook. sometimes its good to have a little red in the system to keep you on your toes. we have had problems in the past with almost missing sub-rental pickups because everything in the system looks so happy..
-(B) to Expand on this... maybe the same feature could also fix a similar issue I run into.. Very often we will have two jobs back to back that they are similar enough to go on the same truck. I have found no way for current to even begin to understand this. Being able to pack the first job and then explain to Current that all the gear that is needed on the second job will be TRANSFERRED to the second Job from the first. Perhaps adding a level to detail view on the second job of something like "awaiting transfer". that would then let the shop see what is left to pull to fill in the holes on the 2nd job.

We’re investigating this for future development, thanks for the votes and comments!

It’d be really interesting to hear everyone’s thoughts on how you’d envisage this feature working, as well as any common scenarios where you’d like to be able to select alternative products.

Let us know in the comments – your feedback is really useful.

I would like to see an option added to the blue item arrow that would allow me to easily replace an overbooked item with an in stock one. currently it seams that I need to delete the item then go to the picker, find a new item, find where it dropped it in the list then drag it back to where it should be.. too many steps... or is it just me...thanks!
