We released automatic costing in early November, so now it’s full steam ahead on our purchasing update.
Purchasing involves a lot of development work, so thanks for your patience while we work on it. We’ll post back with updates when we have more to share.
How's this progressing, it would be useful to know when this will be implemented?
Just to my thoughts to this.
In general I think subrentals need to have a bit more of a system wide approach, a section for planning subrentals across jobs and being able to book services and attach them to a subrental (delivery / collection) - so that we can include collecting subrentals on our vehicle calendars.
On a per opportunity basis the subrentals would be better if they were organised by supplier rather than just on an individual item by item basis - say you preselect the suppliers for an opportunity, and they are the options when you choose items to be subrented.
It would also be very useful to subrent items across more than one job, say you hire 10x lights for 4 weeks, for 3 separate internal opportunities, but it's being collected from a supplier at the start, and returned at the end of the 4 week period - with one hire cost from that supplier, but being charged as items on each individual internal opportunity.
Going beyond this it would be great to eventually see how much money were saving/wasting on subrenting certain items, for the system to do some machine learning and suggest when we should buy/subrent, and work out who we're subrenting from the most. But I know that's crazy stuff!
Our latest update to Current enhances the Reporting functionality so that now you can filter by date. Simply use the “Date Range” box at the top of the reports.Ben Bowles shared this idea ·
Thanks to everyone for taking the time to vote and comment here, we appreciate the feedback :)
Just a quick update: we’ve added some new role options that you might find useful. You can now choose which functions on the opportunity detail view your team members can access, meaning your warehouse team won’t need permission to edit an opportunity to prep kit.
Creating a custom view in Opportunities is a great way of getting a list of jobs for the warehouse team. Use the “waiting for prep” filter to include jobs that need your team’s attention.
Whilst not the same as our price lock function, you can now toggle the ‘discountable’ slider when creating or editing a service to set it as not discountable. This prevents you discounting a service on an opportunity, or setting a price that’s lower than the rate you have set up on it.
It would be great if the price lock function allowed you to remove items from the list, whilst keeping the price the same.
+1, would be really useful if it used Postcode Anywhere or something similar.
