We have 400 to 800 repeat rentals in a six month period. Have to constantly clone rentals. The same equipment goes out at the same time. The ability to do this with orders would also be beneficial. Thanks

Multiple Recurring Rentals: It would be nice if we could schedule a rental to occur more than once say every Tuesday and Thursday for the next 5 weeks or until a certain date. we have rentals that recur often with no change in gear

Thanks for the suggestion, we’re keeping an eye on the number of votes :)

I understand that this idea is about allowing you to complete (finalize check-in) items individually once they’ve been checked-in, but just to clarify for anyone who might not know:

When you finalize check-in, everything with the status ‘Checked in’ is marked as ‘Completed’ and will be returned to availability or moved to the quarantine based on the “Return at” date you specify on the finalize check-in screen (plus any post-rent unavailability on the product).

To have some items return to availability before others, you can check-in just the items you want to return and then finalize check-in. Choose the date you’d like them to return at on the finalize check-in screen. Any items that are still reserved, allocated, prepped, or booked out will remain on rent on that opportunity.

I would also like to see 15 min Increments. We have a lot of gear that has a quick turn around and and hour is to short.

If there is an option for clients to see availability but not book there own stuff out would work great for us.

Cheers for the suggestion, we’ll monitor the number of votes on this one. A couple of things that might help in the meantime:

    • Create a bunch of draft opportunities with dates in the future and tag them with “template” or something similar. Set the drafts up as you like. When you want to use a template, filter your opportunities by the “template” tag and then simply clone the one you need.
    • You can copy & paste easily between opportunities – great for opportunities that have similar kit.

Each opportunity can only have one set of start & end dates right now. We’ll monitor how the votes go on this idea :)

Projects might be a great way of catering for this. A project is a way of grouping together multiple opportunities, a little bit like a folder. If a customer wants some items for some days and other items for other days, you could create two opportunities with different dates and add them to one project.

    • Print project quotations and generate a project invoice to quote for and bill for all items on the same documents.
    • Items will be unavailable based on the dates of their respective opportunities.
    • You can book out and check-in across all orders in a project using the project detail view.

It’s also worth remembering that when items are returned early, you can check-in just the items that returned and finalize them.…

We just launched our API in beta testing, which you can use to explore integrations between Current RMS and your website if you have development knowledge. To get started with the API, head to System Setup > Integrations > API to generate an API key and access our comprehensive developer documentation.

As a developer tool, we provide limited high level developer support for the API meaning that we can’t advise you on how to use our API or how to build an integration. If you’ve got any developer feedback on the API, we’d love to hear — drop us a message at help@current-rms.com to let us know.

If this idea gains further traction, in future the developers could look to investigate more formal integrations with websites and web platforms.
