You can’t bulk print documents in Current at the moment, but the team will keep an eye on the number of supporters this idea has.

To get a handy view of all deliveries going out to the day, click or tap on the numbers on the blue tiles to get a list:

You could also create a custom view to get a list of deliveries going out today, this week, this month, or any time period you choose. See: See and sort your data using custom views

Hey Barrett, I merged your idea with another similar one so it's got more votes :).

We've no update to share on this one just yet, but we're here listening for feedback both here and in our other customer channels. We're looking for a bit more demand from our customer base before acting. If it's something we look to get started on, I'll pop back with an update.

@Brian Remember that automatic costs are always added as provisional – they’re estimated costs.

When you receive the invoice from the supplier, use “Set Actual Cost” from the cost item’s menu to pop in the actual cost. This should give you an accurate picture of how much your sub-rents are costing you.

    Hi Kristoff,

We've not got anything to share just yet, but an app is something that's under review by the development team. As mentioned previously, you can log into your Current RMS system from your smartphone's browser and it should work great :).

    Thanks,

We started this previously, but weren’t too happy with it in testing. We’re focusing on the top ideas on our wishlist right now, but we’re monitoring this idea and we’ll look to investigate further if it gains some traction.

Hey all, thanks for your votes and comments comments here.

We started this previously, but weren’t too happy with it in testing. Since then, other ideas have increased in popularity on our wishlist so we focused our resources on those. We’ve no plans for this idea just yet because we’re working on ideas at the top of our wishlist, but we’re keeping an eye on the number of votes and comments here and we’ll look to pick this back up if it gains some traction.

Thanks for the votes and comments on this idea, all. There’s no definite ETA on this right now, we’re working on ideas at the top of the wishlist and we’ll look to review in future. If this is something you’d been keen to see implemented, please do vote for this idea!

    Hi Tory,

I can't give you an ETA due to the nature of development work, but the team have started it and it's on the way :). It's going to be a document layout like the ones we have in Current RMS right now, so there will be exciting opportunities to customise it. We'll keep you posted of updates through this page.

    Best wishes,

Custom fields are a great way to add additional fields to your Current RMS system. For rehearsals, you can add a date picker custom field to your opportunities screen so it’s available to fill in when you’re putting together opportunities.

Custom fields can be pulled through to document layouts, too.

Happy to help you set up custom fields, get in touch at help@current-rms.com

    Hey Matt,

The terminology can be changed on document layouts generated by Current if you wish, great if you'd prefer to use terms like "Bump In" or "Event Date".

Clone any of our default documents in System Setup > Document Layouts to get access to the HTML to start making changes. Not familiar with HTML? Contact us at help@current-rms.com and we'll be happy to take a look.

Thanks all for taking the time to vote and comment on this, much appreciated.

We’re now testing webhooks for our API, which should excite our developer community! Webhooks are a way of pushing data out of our API, so that it can let you know that something has changed in Current.

Zapier lets you create zaps using webhooks as triggers, so if you’re a developer or technically minded then you could set up an integration with Zapier right now.

If you’d like to use webhooks with Current, contact us at help@current-rms.com and we’ll be happy to give you further information.

Once webhooks are ready for primetime, we can investigate a more formal integration with Zapier. In the meantime, we’d be really keen to hear what kind of workflows you have in mind for Zapier. What kind of triggers and actions would be useful to your business?

    Hey Anton,

Thanks for taking the time to comment. A Zapier integration would be pretty cool and something that the team are reviewing for the future. We do all of our development based on how popular an idea is on our customer wishlist, so we’d need to see some traction here before starting it. Keep voting and commenting! :)

    – Michael

Hey @Chris, thanks for your comment.

A Zapier integration is something that we're looking at adding to Current RMS in the longer term. It's got 19 votes on the wishlist right now so we're focusing our development on ideas like Serialized Containers, Discount Categories, and Choosing Accessories which have a higher number of votes.

We do have an open API that you can use to develop integrations with Current RMS and other solutions and services. We also have integrations with Xero, QuickBooks Online, and MailChimp out-of-the-box.

Regarding the comment below from Anonymous we reached out to this user personally but next time, we'll post a comment on here about any responses away from the wishlist, as we do try to keep on top of all feedback and respond accordingly.

Each opportunity can only have one set of start & end dates right now. We’ll monitor how the votes go on this idea :)

Projects might be a great way of catering for this. A project is a way of grouping together multiple opportunities, a little bit like a folder. If a customer wants some items for some days and other items for other days, you could create two opportunities with different dates and add them to one project.

    • Print project quotations and generate a project invoice to quote for and bill for all items on the same documents.
    • Items will be unavailable based on the dates of their respective opportunities.
    • You can book out and check-in across all orders in a project using the project detail view.

It’s also worth remembering that when items are returned early, you can check-in just the items that returned and finalize them.…

AdminMichael McGovern (Product Specialist, Current RMS) commented  ·

    Hey Brian,

It might be worth dropping a few votes on the “Allow planned transfers between opportunities” idea on our wishlist, which deals with what you’ve mentioned:
    http://wishlist.current-rms.com/forums/257191-customer-wishlist/suggestions/14606835-allow-for-planned-transfers-between-opportunities

This idea is pretty high on our wishlist, so we’ll be investigating it in future.

We don’t have any update to share just yet, but we’ve not forgotten about this. Thank you to everyone for taking the time to chime in here.

Hearing the kinds of ways that you’d like to customize the dashboard is really helpful. Please keep letting us know in the comments. We always review the comments when looking to start work on an idea.

We recently added last month’s order value to the dashboard so you can see how you’re doing compared to last month.

It’s also worth remembering that you can turn off the sales pipeline, along with other order values, by setting “Can see order values” to NO against a particular role. Check out: Restrict access to parts of the system using roles

AdminMichael McGovern (Product Specialist, Current RMS) commented  ·

@Anonymous, you can use Roles to turn off the sales pipeline and financial data throughout Current RMS. Just toggle “Can see order values” to NO when creating a role.

Testing and maintenance has been on our roadmap for some time and we know how important it is to rental businesses.

As well as being popular on our wishlist, it’s really popular across our customer channels so it’s something that we’re making a priority this year.

We’d love to hear your thoughts on what you’d like from a testing module and how you’d like it to work. Please do keep commenting – it’s really useful for us!

I’ll post back as soon as I’ve any news to share. We’re excited to start work on this in due time.

Remember you can use custom fields to store testing information against your stock levels in Current and even pull through this information to opportunity documents. We’ve put together a guide that runs through how this works, check out: Record PAT or other equipment test results

AdminMichael McGovern (Product Specialist, Current RMS) commented  ·

    Hey Ian & Andy,

Thanks for taking the time to comment. We’ve yet to research any third party integrations for PAT at the moment.

In regards to sections for PAT test certs, if you’re using custom fields to store your PAT information then we can pull this through to documents from an opportunity. I’ll send you a quick email about this today :)

Hey Kate, we aim to work on ideas with the highest number of votes first. This is planned so it's something we are committed to adding to Current RMS, but when we start it will depend on how the votes are looking relative to other ideas. We're working on "Creating Kits/Permanent Case Assigning" (Serialized Containers) right now, I'll keep you posted of any updates to this idea on this page.

    Hi Glen,

Thanks for taking the time to comment. Apologies we’ve not been in touch, it’s been really busy here at Current RMS but we'll make sure to give you a call early next week.

A testing module for Current RMS is something that we’re committed to developing and has been a goal on our roadmap since we launched in 2014.

A month after launch, we marked this idea as planned and provided a rough timeframe of 2015. However, in the meantime other suggestions such as an integration with Xero & QuickBooks, Crew & Transport, and Costings became very popular on our customer wishlist so we focused our development on these in order to deliver the best value for our customer base and ensure that we’re adding new features that appeal to the industry. As such, we amended the idea status to reflect this.

In the past year, we've implemented over 30 suggestions from our customer wishlist, plus a whole host of other updates. We prioritise new features based on the number of votes an idea has, however the number of votes on an idea can fluctuate and other ideas can become more popular with our customers. This makes it difficult for us to provide definitive ETAs on specific feature requests until they've been started.

With 34 votes at the time of writing, while we appreciate this is something some AV businesses require, this isn't a feature we're committed to implementing over other highly voted for requests such as Free Scan, Serialised Kits, and Recording Part Payments as these have all received over 100 votes from our customers. As a monthly subscription, all feature updates are delivered automatically as part of the package, so we need to ensure that we’re reacting to user feedback & demand, prioritising development time on ideas that are most popular.

We're hoping to look at Workshop at the end of this year and look forward to talking to you about this.

    Many thanks,

    The Current RMS team

RFID is essentially a contactless bar code. While we’ve not tested any RFID readers with Current, you can use the system with most readers that operate as “keyboard wedges”. Provided the RFID reader takes an asset number from the RFID tag and translates that into key strokes, it should work with Current RMS.

You can test this in the Opportunity Detail View when allocating assets. Some RFID tags may be able to store additional information that can be written to — this will not be accessible in Current RMS.

    Hey Jeff,

As a fully cloud based solution, Current is compatible with a wide range of devices so it’s difficult to provide specific recommendations on scanners. We’ve not tested RFID scanners with Current, but there’s no reason that they shouldn’t work provided they operate as “keyboard wedges” and they’re compatible with the device you’re running Current RMS on.

Let us know how you get on – we’d be interested to hear :)

    – Michael

AdminMichael McGovern (Product Specialist, Current RMS) commented  ·

    Hey Sash,

For bulk and non-stock products, you can set a barcode against the product. Scanning that barcode will allocate, prep, book out, or check-in the quantity you’ve specified of the product. Edit a bulk or non-stock product to set the barcode number.

A workshop module is on the roadmap! We’re working through ideas on the wishlist in order of popularity, but it’s something that we hope to add.

Thanks for posting this idea! We’ll keep an eye on the votes on this.

It’s worth noting that if you’ve set up assets as serialized components in a serialized container (rather than as accessories), then these aren’t added to the itemized invoice view and won’t be posted as line items to Xero or QuickBooks Online.

AdminMichael McGovern (Product Specialist, Current RMS) commented  ·

Hey Dylan, great idea if you’re generating paperwork from Current RMS :).

I’ve spoken to the customer who posted this idea and they’re looking to exclude them because they post invoices to Xero and the paperwork in Xero isn’t able to determine what’s an accessory and what’s not.

An online store based out of Current RMS would be really cool!

As folk have mentioned, the API is a fantastic way to develop integrations between Current and your website, or even other third-party solutions. We’ve had a few customers let us know they’ve done this and we’ve showcased some on our blog

Learn more about the API: What is the Current RMS API?

We’re not ready to start work on our own webshop integration just yet, but it’d be useful to know more about how you’d like it to work. Would people prefer an integration with a third party solution like Shopify or Squarespace or something standalone? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

AdminMichael McGovern (Product Specialist, Current RMS) commented  ·

Hey, thanks for taking the time to comment.

A webshop would be a great addition to Current RMS, however it’s not something we can look to commit to just yet as we prioritize requests based on how popular they are on our wishlist. That being said, all users have access to the API so that companies that consider this functionality essential can look to develop this in the meantime.

Full documentation is available in System Setup > Integrations > API.

    Hey Kris,

While you can’t add an option to the menu for a group to hide on paperwork, you could set up a tickbox custom field on your opportunity group called something like “Hide on paperwork”. Your document layouts can be adjusted so that when this group is ticked, it’s hidden from the paperwork.

Happy to help with this – just start a conversation using the green help bubble in Current :)

Hey Mike, depending on how your documents are set up then we should be able to hide items within a particular opportunity group. I’ll send you a quick message about this now.
