  1. Calendar view for sale products similar to rental products

    At the moment the Calendar View under Resources works great for our Rental products. It shows Quantity Available, Booked, Quoted, Quarantined, etc. Gives us exactly what we need and shows us if our rental products are overbooked. However, this doesn’t seem to extend or apply to Sale Products. It'd be good if we can apply the same view as with Rentals, also if when we click the product being held we can also see under what job/quote it is being held for (again like in Rentals).

    We can probably remove SubRent, Quarantined, and PostRent as they don’t apply to Sale…

  3. Collate surcharges at the end of quote

    Display a breakdown of the surcharges at the end of the quotation, rather than line by line. We use surcharges for damage waivers, but lots of customers are confused what it is on the quote. It would be much better just to show one line at the end of the quotation to show the Damage Waiver Total

    Depending on your requirements, this is something that could be resolved with a modification to your doucment layouts

    The item.surcharge object contains information about the surcharges applied to an opportunity item. The different surcharges for each item can be collated and stored in a variable which could then be displayed at the bottom of the document.

  4. Bank Holiday flags

    If possible do you think we can have the system flag up on bank holidays and such on the calendar, when inputting dates for hires?

  6. Option to automatically return to stock sale returns

    At the moment when a sale product is checked in as returned it is automatically quarantined, - great if it is a high value or sale stock item that has to checked for missing parts, damage etc...
    I use current to manage stock levels on consumables and sundry products, i.e. tape, cable ties. Often on rental jobs a quantity of unused consumables returns, often this can be 20 different products for one job. I want to put these back into available stock for obvious reasons. If stock is returned on every job this makes a lot of unnecessary box ticking…

  7. Drag and drop to rearrange custom fields

    This is a BIG request...

    Anyone that is using custom fields will tell you that the existing format really needs some reworking. If you have a number of custom fields then having one field per line makes the pages extremely long and if you need to insert fields then you have to spend a lot of time reworking numbers.

    Implementing a WYSIWYG drag and drop system would allow for the fields to automatically resize to say 50% if you put 2 by each other and 25% if you put 4 in a row etc. etc.

    We still haven't implemented all…

    We love suggestions with lots of examples like this, keep them coming!

    A currency type custom field makes complete sense, we’ve added that 💥. It’s prefixed with your system’s currency symbol.

    Our new supplier costs update is a great way to log purchase prices – no need for custom fields.

    Drag and drop for custom field is trickier than it sounds, so we’ll keep our eye on your votes here.

    Remember that you can specify a “sort order” for custom fields and that sort order doesn’t have to be a complete sequence. For example, you might create three custom fields today with the sort orders 10, 20, 30. Tomorrow you realize you need a custom field between the first two – no need to edit each field’s sort order, simply add a field with the sort order 15.

  8. Picker should be integrated into the opportunity page

    Picker should be integrated into the event page to allow much quicker access. (Seems silly to be clicking every time you want to add an item to the quote)

  9. Shortcut to opportunity actions on the default opportunity view

    Action Buttons Accessible Just on the Side of each Opportunity Lists

    Rather than opening one by one each of the Opps, this would be very convenient especially if we only need to update the status of an Opportunity. Hope this can also be implemented

  10. Collate Accesories

    When having multiple items that use the same accessories make it possible to Collate the accessory such as power leads to one total rather than having power leads appear under the line item under every single light for example. This could be a tick box so you have the option not to collate, would be good if the system could also remember to keep the box ticked as well.

    You can collate items on your document layouts using our consolidated items code. This brings together all of the same products on an opportunity into one line, useful if accessories are listed more than once under different products.

    An example Consolidated Picking List is attached to this idea. To add to your Current RMS system, save the .txt file from this suggestion and then go to System Setup > Document Layouts in Current. Click the green ‘upload document’ button and browse for the .txt file you saved.

  11. "Asset number already taken" message to display the product it's assigned to already

    When adding assets, the message could be more useful. Instead of saying 'asset number already taken' it could be more descriptive. 'Asset number registered to LeMatre Hazer'.

  12. Add opportunity charge total to invoice project box

    In the pop up window for invoicing a project where opportunities are ticked to add to the invoice, could we get the opportunity price alongside the name?

  13. Data audit function

    An audit function in the settings menu where you can display your data as an editable table on one screen. Think of it as downloading the following:

    Contact data
    Organisation data
    Product group data
    Product data
    Accessory data
    ......

    updating it on excel and re uploading it.
    But so you don't have to download open excel etc it is displayed within current.

    This is useful so you can quickly check any fields that are missing (such as weight) any grouping that is incorrect and for updating qtys.

  16. Use LinkedIn social media site API's to pull information and keep it up to date automatically.

    If an organisation or person record email address matches LinkedIn then it would be good for it to pull information into the record to keep it up to date. This could be things like the person image etc.

    Microsoft Outlook does this using it's social media connector add in that is now standard with Office 365 version of Outlook.

    It would also be good to be able to pull information from the Organisation news feed on LinkedIn (and to that end from any specified RSS feed) so that when you open an organisation record you can see the latest things…

  17. Sales only opportunities

    We deal with a lot of sales orientated jobs as well as hires and so the sales section do not need to have items checked back in to complete the job. It would be good to be able to state that an opportunity is sales only at point of creation and therefore does not have any form of check in or similar.

    Current RMS is primarily a rental management solution, so our default documents do include information about the rental period.

    All of the documents that come with Current are fully customizable using HTML & CSS so they can be adjusted to remove references to rental for opportunities that only contain sales items.

  19. Show orders on dashboard even when delivery and collection fields are empty

    At this moment orders without specific delivery and collection periods are not show at the dashboard, maybe the rental period can be used when this fields are empty to prevent orders from not showing.

  20. Add a 'Rehearsals' option between the 'Setup' and 'In Use' in the scheduling section

    It would be helpful to include in the Scheduling section when creating a new opportunity, a 'Rehersals' option, between the 'Setup' and 'In Use' options. This would enable creating a more accurate description/schedule in quotes and better event/staff management.

    As an example, my Setup is 7am - 12pm, my rehearsals are 1pm - 5pm and my show is 6pm - 11pm. If i could have identified rehearsals here, it would indicate 1hr window (12 - 1 and 5 - 6) for lunch/dinner break, etc. It would also be clear for the client to see on the quote/proposal and any other…

    Custom fields are a great way to add additional fields to your Current RMS system. For rehearsals, you can add a date picker custom field to your opportunities screen so it’s available to fill in when you’re putting together opportunities.

    Custom fields can be pulled through to document layouts, too.
