  1. Organisations registration and VAT number

    It would be great if we will be able to put to the CURRENT registration and VAT numbers for our customers.

    In my opinion this data is necessary to put to the Contract Agreement and so one

    Across customer conversations, adding a tax number field is a really popular idea so we’ve added it as a standard field to Current.

    If you enter a tax number against an organization, it automatically pulls through to our default invoice documents.

    We’re not often asked about adding an organization registration number, so we’ve not acted on this just yet. If this is something that’s important to you, create another idea on our wishlist. Remember you could use the “Account Number” field here.

  2. Allow 'cash customer' to be set to Yes by default.

    It would be useful to be able to set a default value on this field so that new customers are treated as cash or payment in advance until such time as a credit account has been setup.

  3. Split services and crew transaction types on quotations

    Could we please have an option to split apart Services and Crew as separate transaction types.

    Currently on the quotes all crew and transport (as a service) are put together into one sub total, it would be great if this could be split to transport and crew separately as often it 'appears' that crew are very expensive as transport is included with this.

    It would be useful for the sub totals box to be able to have;
    Rental
    Sales
    Services
    Labour

    Sounds like this is something that could be done with a document layout change 🎉

    We could look to split totals by “service type”, so you could have subtotals for crew and transport on your customer-facing documents.

  4. Have a recent tab that shows the most recent worked on opportunities

    It would then display that most recent job drafts/quotes/orders that have been worked on and provide a quick way to navigate to them.

  5. QR code per job

    It would be so super super helpful if we could be assigned a QR code per job on a returns label along with our address.

    it would be super helpful to have this available so that when customers send back small items in the post they could print out the label attach it to the parcel and then when it arrives back to us all we would need to do is scan the code and it will bring up straight away the job it is related too!

  6. Admin Security Features like restricting access by IP, Time of Day and Password Force Change or Azure AD Single Sign On Integration

    It would be good to have more options for system administrators to be able to lock down the system. At the moment there is a bit of logging for users but the system needs more functionality on this side of things. Such as logs for X amount of days that can be run off as reports.

    Being able to specify IP addresses etc for access to a specific account would help unauthorised access. Also unauthorised access attempts at the system.

    To add to this setting working hours that an account is able to login much the same as Windows Servers…

    Following on from Single Sign On (SSO) with Google and Microsoft, we added a bunch of additional features to help you bolster security at your business:

    • Two Factor Authentication (2FA)
    • Admins can reset other user passwords
    • Owner users can reset everyone’s passwords
    • Comprehensive action log
    • See recent active sessions
    • Reset user iCal feed links

    We’ve not implemented restrictions based on IP addresses or time of day. Anytime, anywhere access is a core component of Current RMS and we’ve not seen much demand for these. If these are important to you, create a separate idea and we’ll keep an eye on how it’s tracking.

  7. Adding items to picking list

    I would like a service where I can add items to a picking list and not have them appear in or affect my quote. I would like to use the picking list as a list for my warehouse crew which would include all cable being used, rigging equipment etc etc without it also appearing on the quote to my client.

    It sounds like this is something that we could achieve with a document layout change.

    Items on a document layouts can be hidden if they’re included in a particular group or based on other criteria, e.g. a custom field against the product as Jack mentions in the comments.

  8. Add a way of inputting the date an invoice was paid

    Maybe when you click 'mark as paid' it could ask for the date. For me it would help tie up loose ends with when things were paid etc.

  9. Free scan items in / global check-in screen

    I would like to see a function where we could free scan items in from opportunities. We constantly have multiple shows coming back at the same time and have shows that have multiple orders on them that tend to get mixed up on site. It can be quite a hassle to go to from one opportunity to the next trying to figure out where certain items came from. It would be nice if an item was just free scanned in and was automatically checked in from whichever opportunity it was on.

  10. Job planner, shading or coloured weekends to make weeks more defined.

    Just a bit of colour over the Saturday & Sunday on job planner please.
    To help separate the weeks visually.

    We’ve broadened our Online Quotation Approval feature so that all opportunity documents can be set up for approval! This means that you can turn it on for delivery notes, rental agreements, collection notes, and other opportunity documents.

    As part of this, you can now enable simple signature capture for approved documents!

    This is designed primarily for capturing proof of delivery or collection. You might like to use it for signing quotations and rental agreements, but keep in mind that, unlike Adobe Sign, the signatures captured are not legally binding.

    Thanks for all of your feedback on legally binding signing services, we’re looking into an integration with Signable.

  13. MAKE THE ONLINE APPROVAL SIGNATURE MOVABLE

    Possibly making he online approval thing with HTML coding so we can position the signature box wherever we want in the document.

  14. Provide cancelation reason when canceling opportunities

    When marking opportunities as lost or dead a drop down menu would be helpful so that a reason can be given. This will help the sales manager collect the data without having to ask each member of the team.

  15. Scan Order/Allocation Order by group

    We often prep large jobs, with multiple sites grouped within the one job to simplify the job for the client, or where we are managing multiple activations. Currently, when we scan something that appears in multiple locations within the job, it will allocate from the top of the list down.
    It would be great to have a method to specify where I am scanning in the job, possibly with a drop down that selects which group within the opportunity I am working on, as this would allow us to better track which exact items are at which site, and more…

  16. Warehouse staff should not require full edit permissions for every opportunity in the system

    To allow warehouse staff to use an order's 'Detail View' to allocate/book-out/check-in items they have to be assigned full edit permissions for every opportunity in the system.

    It would be much better if there was a separate 'Order Item Status' permissions set that could be set to 'edit' for warehouse staff, with 'Opportunity' permissions set to 'view' only.

    The current permissions system forces us to either have no control over opportunity edits, or no warehouse control of item status on orders.

  18. Allow retrieval of Document PDF or Document Approval Link via the API

    It'd be great to be able to get...

    - Document PDFs
    - Document Approval URLs

    ...through the API.

    It would just be an extension of the objects that already exist:

    https://api.current-rms.com/api/v1/opportunities/1/documents/24/approvalurl (where '24' is the 'document_id' currently seen in the /print_document url)

  19. Internal descriptions or notes for opportunity items

    I often want to put a description on an item in an opportunity for our staff to see but not the customer. I think there should be an internal description and an external description for each item, much like the internal and external description fields for the opportunity itself. And it would be great for these internal descriptions to be able to be seen with each item in order view and detail view. These notes can be key for my warehouse guys and my labor in the field, but are not relevant to the customer and should not show up…

    A custom field against the opportunity item would be perfect for this. You could call the field “Internal Description” and you’d be able to access it by editing the opportunity item.

    Custom fields don’t show up in the order view, but they can be pulled through to document layouts, so you could have this displayed on internal documents for your team.

  20. “Collapse / expand all groups” with Opportunity page

    I suggest there i a feature added whereby you can collapse or expand all the individual product groups within an opportunity page view.

    This would be particularly useful when using current on a mobile device whereby instead of the current default which is for all individual groups to be fully expanded (meaning scrolling to the bottom to see stats eg total etc takes a long time) the groups are collapsed but can be expanded individually or altogether and the click of a button.
