Send discussion emails through own email server
Ability To Email PDF Quote Through Own Email Servers
Just a quick update on this one to say thanks for all the votes and comments – we’re watching this one closely.
Keep in mind that you can use the “Discussion email address” on an opportunity to CC or BCC messages into the Discussions section of an opportunity. This is great if you’d like to send correspondence from your existing email app but wish to record a copy in Current for your reference. You’ll find a link to the email address under Actions.
Wouldn't it be easier to make 2 options - Discussion Email Or Send via STMP?
That way the SMTP could be sent through our own email servers whilst the email wouldn't return back into current, it would save the downloading PDF attaching to emails individually?
Just lost another sale because it went to their spam.
Hi Guys. This one seems to have gone off the radar, any chance we can get an update on this?? We have been using Current now for 15 months eagerly awaiting this to be available as it would streamline our processes greatly. Where are we at with this?

Yes agree completely with this most new clients complain we don't get emails only to find they have been sent to junk - would love to see the email address visually and not just an organisation name to visually check it goes to right place also
Hopefully this gets looked at really soon! the Discussion box is clunky and looks unprofessional for sending quotes and orders. Please integrate sending of docs through outlook ASAP!!!

This is a must. Emails that we send through current constantly get to our clients spam/junk folders or are skipped over, so we don't even use it anymore. Being able to add a signature per user would be great as well.

This could be solved by syncing Current with Google Apps. If we can save contacts, emails & files to Current (similar to something like Insightly) it also becomes CRM software. Add a project management feature and we've got everything in one program.
Would love to see this implemented, Myself and our customers are finding the discussions hard to follow. Alot of our emails are missed or sent to spam and ultimately losing us business.
Hey, thanks for your comment. Nothing to share just yet, but the number of votes on this idea has been going up recently so we're keeping our eye on it. If it gains significant traction, we'll look to investigate this further.
Our developers determine what features to add to Current RMS based on the number of votes an idea has, so at the moment we're working on features such as serialised kits which has over 180 votes at the time of writing. We'll keep you posted of updates to this suggestion via this page.
Has there been any update on this? We also need to send any forms out (quotes invoices etc) from our Company email address.
Saving each form as a PDF and manually sending them is very time consuming.
Either make it so we can send through 'Office 365', or even simply just make the address appear to be from our company address so when the client receives our email they know its from us, and also when they hit reply it goes to the correct place.
When this is resolved we might even find the 'Discussion' feature usable for us.
We always send our quotes out from 1 email address. So wed like to be able to send documents directly from our server. not necessarily as a discussion either.

Really need this as the discussion feature does not work with most clients. Email trails are key to winning business.
This would be very helpful as many of our clients email systems seem to send the current emails to spam and we have to tell them to check their spam folder.
Yes please - this is extremely important as email trails are required in both online and offline situations.
