This idea has really started picking up votes lately – thanks all. We’re not ready to act on this just yet, but we are watching it closely 👀

In the meantime, it’d be great to get your thoughts on how this should work. How would you envisage the integration working? Which G Suite apps would be the most useful to integrate with?

    Surely this can also offload some of your hosting space requirements? if all the documents were stored on the drive?

    I dream of the day I can sync google to current..

    please integrate with outlook and gmail. The way your system is atm is really clunky, most crms have this feature so i dont understand why this is a discussion and not already in development - you guys are behind the curve here and the crm looks dates as a result

    Any update on this yet? The potential 12 hour lag between an activity and google calendar (because of the ical feed refresh not being configurable) is a dealbreaker... :(

    Hey if you did the Zapier Integration item on the wish-list, this would all be taken care-of as part of it...

    Hi Michael,

    I use a CRM which is connected or integrated with Google contacts and calendar. The updates are almost instantaneous.

    The problem with that is the google only updates external feeds once every 24 hours. You'd have to be ok with everyone on your team seeing yesterday's information. It's not really a solution.

    Hey Flipside team,

    You can use the iCal feeds for your job planner in Current RMS to see opportunities in your Google Calendar. The delivery address is even set as the location on any calendar events, so you can click straight to Google Maps.

    Would it just be possible to sync job planner into google calendar, if the delivery address ports over then google maps link would work fine from there.

    Business class email integration is a must. We are finding at the moment that many communications end .up in the clients spam...we've lost some business as a result. However im not convinced that gmail or yahoo mail are the right platforms as these have quite vigorous rules on spam and levels of emails....more so if a bulk email was being sent / or large files. We'd like to see a professional looking email / message communication being sent, rather than that which reads as an rms.notification . in addition....discussions in rms are all over the place....e.g. as part of separate opportunities / invoices for a client and....its pretty hard trying to remember where you sent a message from....did i send it in the opportunity...or was it when i was discussing their invoice/s? surely a central area for all discussion points for each client can be developed. Please please RMS get this emailing malarky developed further.

    Imagine if contacts synced between Current and Google. You could sync customers in Current with all kinds of other apps that already sync with Google. This would allow Current to work in unison with existing CRM software (Insightly, Properworks, etc.) without manually entering the same customer data into both systems. Huge time saver and productivity booster.
