  2. Purchasing/supplier Module that issues PO’s for sub-rentals

    This isn't too easy to explain but I shall give it ago!

    This would be in Opportunity window, in the same way Invoices, Attachments and Discussions area.

    To each Opportunity, you would enter any suppliers. The supplier could either be a Contact or Organisation.

    In a similar way to the way you add additional telephone numbers/emails under Contacts, you would enter the price, which may have different classes. For example a Trucking company may be "Services as Quoted", where as a Crew member may be "Per day", "Travel", "Per Diems" etc.

    We released automatic costing in early November, so now it’s full steam ahead on our purchasing update.

    Automatic costing is the foundation for purchasing, so we recommend popping in supplier costs against your products and services now.

    Purchasing involves a lot of development work, so thanks for your patience while we work on it. We’ll post back with updates when we have more to share.

  3. Stock check

    Usually we have 2 weeks in August where the majority of our stock is back. We want to do a stock check, literally by going to each shelf or area, area scan each item's bar code and print a report of all items that have not been scanned so we can try and find them or update our actual stock accordingly.

  4. Customer portal

    An online portal where your customers can log in, check availability then book items. For example client A who hires a small speaker and radio mic regularly would like to book it in on the 28th. They log in, check availability, book it then we get a job generated?

  5. Customized user access - configure exactly what users can see

    I would like to be able to customize exactly what a user can and can not see of the system. For example, I want my technicians to see all of the job information, equipment, client contact info etc, for the jobs they are allocated to, but I do not want them to see the entire list of opportunities (drafts, quotes, projects). A much more detailed breakdown of user access permissions would really be helpful.

  6. Multiple currencies

    we have multiple stores in multiple countries, we would like to have them all under one system by having multiple stores & currencies .. pricing categories can be applied through list of values which is good

  7. Open source languages and currencies

    It would be nice if the software has an open source for the languages. So user can translate your software.

    Even better would it be that users can share and rate each translate made by users.

  9. Restrict User Access to particular Stores

    Hi - we're using multiple stores and want to be able to restrict who has access to view what products are in some of the stores i.e. we want one end user to be able to see what is kept in one store but not what is kept in another.

  10. Allow fields to be set as mandatory

    When adding custom fields we really need to be able to have the option to set them as a mandatory field. Also on the drop down lists of data that can be created for use with custom fields, we need to be able to make a blank field that can be used as the default but can not be saved as the answer to that custom field eg one that says “Please Select” or such like.

    Making the Delivery, Collection, In Use, Prep, Load, Unload boxes mandatory fields so they have to be completed before filling them in. Would be…

  11. Drag and drop attachments / upload multiple attachments

    It would be lovely if you could drag and drop your files or uploading into a window like you can do with Google (gmail, calendars, drive).

  12. Current to Current sub-rent

    I work regularly with a PA company that also uses Current for their inventory management. It would be incredibly useful to be able to submit a 'soft' enquiry directly into their system, that they could then confirm or modify. It seems a bit long winded both companies having to communicate outside of current and then create separate jobs for the same event. Ideally we could create a collaborative job that we can both view and add equipment to. This would remove a lot of ambiguity from the sub rental process and help speed up the rental process.

  13. Bank Holiday flags

    If possible do you think we can have the system flag up on bank holidays and such on the calendar, when inputting dates for hires?

  14. Global search

    It would be great if we had a global search box. The search field would be at the top of every page for example by the user name. The idea being you can do one search and drill down on the type of data you need. an example would be:-

    Customer calls quoting a job number, you type said job number into master search field and a page showing you matching jobs and products shows up.

    Customer calls and wants to repeat a job, you enter their name or the old job name and get a set of hits…

  15. Rental enquiry discussion email

    What would be great would be to have a generated email address, such as enquiry-myrentalcompany@current-rms.com.

    Any emails sent to this address would automatically create a blank enquiry and an associated discussion in our system.

    So we could create a 'Rental Enquiry' form on our website, with the email going to that email address. And then there is already a blank enquiry created.

  16. Hide / Show ALL money values (including product prices) for roles

    Sometimes my rental staff need to setup a quick booking. I can hide the ORDER VALUE, but they still see individual product prices. Would like the option to hide ALL values in ALL screens

  17. Admin Security Features like restricting access by IP, Time of Day and Password Force Change or Azure AD Single Sign On Integration

    It would be good to have more options for system administrators to be able to lock down the system. At the moment there is a bit of logging for users but the system needs more functionality on this side of things. Such as logs for X amount of days that can be run off as reports.

    Being able to specify IP addresses etc for access to a specific account would help unauthorised access. Also unauthorised access attempts at the system.

    To add to this setting working hours that an account is able to login much the same as Windows Servers…

    We’ve added SSO with Google and Microsoft to Current RMS, allowing you to consolidate your security and identity management.

    With SSO, your company’s system administrator can manage your Google or Microsoft account and set security policies for it, such as enabling two factor authentication and password expiry.

    We’re looking into adding two factor authentication for Current RMS logins, too.

  18. Ability to track non-rental and non-sellable inventory

  19. Data audit function

    An audit function in the settings menu where you can display your data as an editable table on one screen. Think of it as downloading the following:

    Contact data
    Organisation data
    Product group data
    Product data
    Accessory data
    ......

    updating it on excel and re uploading it.
    But so you don't have to download open excel etc it is displayed within current.

    This is useful so you can quickly check any fields that are missing (such as weight) any grouping that is incorrect and for updating qtys.

  20. Set custom alerts to pop up

    Alert notes or prompts to pop up when entering different modules of Current. When opening an opportunity, if an important note or a FYI is required for techs, a prompt/pop up alert will appear. Should be able to specify what can trigger the prompts. such as attaching a prompt to people clicking on detail view or when clicking on a specific product.
