  1. simplifying the discussion template

    Hi Guys,
    Getting a few unhappy customers with the discussion template looking quite over complicated and repetitive, cluttering up the dialogue. Ive attached a screenshot and I have to agree with them. Keen to hear if this can be super simplifyed.

    • Default view for job planner

      Every day when I first load planner I need to click monthly and add quotes to my view. I would love it if there was a way for the user profile to incorporate a 'Default Job Planner View' so that whenever I look at the job planner it is monthly and includes orders and quotes.

      • Bulk Edit Feature

        It would be great to be able to bulk edit opportunities and resources by using checkboxes. Some potential uses would be
        -Merging contacts by editing the organization assigned to an opportunity
        -Re-assigning resource categories without exporting/importing
        -Adding participants or contacts to pre-existing opportunities (for instance, a new project manager is to take over multiple events)
        -"Mark as Invoiced" - as Quickbooks does not live update the status/balance of opportunities, everything currently has to be double entered
        -Mark multiple opportunities as "dead" during accounts meetings

        I am sure there are plenty of more uses, but it would be a great feature…

        • Make Kits more flexible & intelligent

          Okay this is a hard one to explain but here goes.

          We use lots for almost everything; however we are struggaling with one big aspect. Say we have product A worth £50,000; now we are a medium size company with only 1 product A’s.

          Product A is part of a kit called Rack A. Now rack A is kit containing 1 product A and lots of other hire items. This is our default situation for 90% of our hires. However a client phones wanting to rent Product A; the way we have kits set up means we can rent product…

          • Flexibility Within Projects

            Two Ideas within one here; sorry.

            We currently have a situation where we have one hire; that is going out multiple dates over the summer. We have made a project and inside that cloned opportunities for the current hire dates. It would be really cool if say we added extra items to the first opportunity to be able to merge the future opportunities inside the project to match the updated hire list. Meaning we don't have to manually go in and add the data to each opportunity.

            • Notify us if a quote hasn't been viewed by a customer

              It would be very handy to be notified if a quote hasn't been viewed by a customer, say in 24 hours after the quote was sent. I currently leave the quote open in a tab to check that the customer has viewed it. Sometimes the quote goes into a junk folder or the quote could be sent to an incorrect email address. If we were notified then it would save having to check that the quote had been viewed and would save us some time. Thanks - Curt - Sound Services Ltd

              • Variable Tags

                It has become apparent to us that changing the way tags work within Product Availability Planner would be a useful option. Say we have two tags that are Product A & Product B. If I search for Product A & Product B in the tags; im-provided with equipment that matches both the tags.

                What I would like is a slider/tick box that allows you to change the way the tags respond; so I could use the example above to return equipment that matches tag Product A or Product B.

                • Product Availability Barcode Specific Tick-box

                  Currently, we are trying to implement the Product Availability planner into our pre-production workflow.

                  It would be great to be able to view shortages per barcode in the view. Say we have 5 Projectors (with individual barcodes) it would be great to see which projectors are booked at a certain moment on the planner.

                  This could either be as a tick box (similar to show quotations) or as a drop down.

                    The possibility of synchronizing contacts and organizations through CardDav servers (f.e.fruux) would be fabulous. In this way we could have automatically synchronized contacts Current, computer and smartphone. Thank you

                      Group editing of Products via the Resources screen to where you can adjust multiple products and see the changes. This would be a better and visually easier alternative to downloading/uploading products and adjusting with a spreadsheet.

                          • Show quantity of item booked for each opportunity in bookings section

                            If I wish to quickly see where all of my RZ570's (for example) are being used I search for it in the resources category.

                            The bookings section will display where the items are being used in various opportunities. It would be nice for this section to tell us how many are booked for each opportunity.

                                • Have the ability to move and re-arrange the order of the opportunity within a project

                                  Similar to how you can move items within an opportunity it would be nice to re-arrange the opportunities within the project.

                                    When checking in items as damaged or lost, instead of the icon saying "checked in" or after finalising check in "completed", it would be good if there was a "damaged" or "incomplete" badge to make it clear that there are losses or damage in an opportunity without looking through the quarantine window.

                                    • The ability to log the power needed for each item so that you can then get a report of the total power

                                      The ability to enter the power usage of each item in the item info so that when you create an item list, you can then see the total power needed for all items. The ability to then break this down by each group of items would be useful.

                                        Currently when looking at bookings for a product, the system shows all the bookings but does not show the total attached to each booking. It would be nice to see this number to avoid opening each individual opportunity and writing down the total number assigned to each booking.

                                        In general would like to see better shortages reports by date parameters.

                                          I would like the Ability to restrict access to certain Products by group (and maybe even tags)
                                          For example I would like to have a venue manager only have the ability to book the venue or only the Lighting department can book lighting equipment and maybe only a supervisor can assign staff.
