  1. Edit multiple service start/end dates at once

    Here is the issue.

    An opportunity has been created with multiple services; lots of different technicians or local crew etc. At some point after the opportunity has been created the timings change and each service needs to be changed to reflect this, this can also happen due to simply not knowing the final times at the point of quoting. At the moment you have to edit each individual service to change the dates. Often this can be incredibly time consuming.

    It would be massively helpful if there was a way to change the dates on multiple services at once, either…

    • Deposits

      A nice idea would be adding a deposit option to certain invoices so it would show up at the bottom of the invoice near the balance total! At the moment I am sending invoices over to clients then having to email them separatley to notify them of their deposit total.

        • Service as Accessory

          We offer package deals to clients that include kit and crew as part of an all in price. It would simplify this if a Service could be added as an Accessory to a Product, such as adding an Audio Engineer to a PA hire package.

          • Bulk Edit Feature

            It would be great to be able to bulk edit opportunities and resources by using checkboxes. Some potential uses would be
            -Merging contacts by editing the organization assigned to an opportunity
            -Re-assigning resource categories without exporting/importing
            -Adding participants or contacts to pre-existing opportunities (for instance, a new project manager is to take over multiple events)
            -"Mark as Invoiced" - as Quickbooks does not live update the status/balance of opportunities, everything currently has to be double entered
            -Mark multiple opportunities as "dead" during accounts meetings

            I am sure there are plenty of more uses, but it would be a great feature…

            • Assign a cost to bookable resources.

              Bookable resources can be allocated to a booked service. In many cases these resources cost the company money, whether it be labor or fuel.

              I would like for the bookable resources to have a cost associated with them so that way when I allocate them it can count against the job as an opportunity cost. Say I have 2 techs, tech A costs me $20/hr and tech B costs me $30/hr. If I was to allocate tech A in the services view, I would like his $20/hr to be deducted as a cost to the opportunity or project.

              • Make Kits more flexible & intelligent

                Okay this is a hard one to explain but here goes.

                We use lots for almost everything; however we are struggaling with one big aspect. Say we have product A worth £50,000; now we are a medium size company with only 1 product A’s.

                Product A is part of a kit called Rack A. Now rack A is kit containing 1 product A and lots of other hire items. This is our default situation for 90% of our hires. However a client phones wanting to rent Product A; the way we have kits set up means we can rent product…

                • "Relatively" easy method for custom reporting

                  On each opportunity screen there is already a button that downloads a csv dump of line item data on that particular opportunity. If the Current programmers could do a little tweak and include as few as 4 extra columns to the outputted csv file, then we might have the basis of an almost comprehensive reporting capability.
                  Those four columns would be:
                  Opportunity ID
                  Organisation ID
                  Product ID
                  Row is heading? TRUE/FALSE

                  So, with no extra buttons and no GUI changes, you could then download a csv for each opportunity and copy/paste into a master sheet to get all line items…

                  • Show payment status on Job Planner

                    At the moment I can't tell if an invoice has been paid until I drill into the opportunity and open the invoice. We have a lot of cash customers, and I'd like to see at a glance which customers have already paid for upcoming jobs in the job planner so I know which ones I still need to get payment from. Even in the Invoices view it doesn't show if an invoice has been paid or not until you open the invoice. I would prefer to see this on the job planner though as it would just be way easier…

                      Despite throwing the word container around a lot.. Current-RMS does not seam to understand what a case really is. Fist and foremost. a case is a tangible thing, and is one of your products.
                      Beyond that, to us... a case is something make makes no money, something the client does not need nor want to know about, is something that may store only one item, or could store hundred, may have a mix of bulk and serialized items and may be permanent, per job or as long as i can leave it together till i have to reconfigure it..

                      • Allow adding stock level when creating new product

                        When you create a product it would be much more efficient to add stock levels in the same window than having to save the product, then open a new menu to add stock levels. It makes adding lots of inventory difficult and time consuming.

                          A comments box when in finalising job option would be useful, specifically so that whoever finalises could initial and add any relevant info, damaged/ missing kit or general comments on the project for reference.

                            Current System: Fleet on the opportunity all gets locked to the delivery/collection days

                            Proposed to addition: Same as above but being able to assign individual fleet to different delivery/collection days if required

                            Why?: When times get very busy the fleet availability can become and issue, however when there are overlap days of fleet, internal plans can be made but there's no efficient way to change the dates of the items unless you put them on individual opportunities which completely negates the system of all of its other purposes and just becomes a inefficient fleet management software.

                                I spend hours each week in opportunities clicking back and forward between the order view, services view, and edit service item view, trying to allocate staff to the right services. If I could just see the service description in the services view, along with what group it’s nested in on the order page, it would be so much easier!

                                Along with this, please show the first line of the service descriptions in the pop up on resource planner.

                                • Product Rental Income report excluding Sub Rental Items

                                  My income report isn't accurate if it doesn't exclude items I have to sub-rental from vendors. It would be ideal to allow for a report that only lists income from items that were not sub-rented.

                                  • Product Availability Barcode Specific Tick-box

                                    Currently, we are trying to implement the Product Availability planner into our pre-production workflow.

                                    It would be great to be able to view shortages per barcode in the view. Say we have 5 Projectors (with individual barcodes) it would be great to see which projectors are booked at a certain moment on the planner.

                                    This could either be as a tick box (similar to show quotations) or as a drop down.

                                      Allow accessories be dragged back to be a regular item.
                                      Say you create an opportunity item accidentally as an accessory, with full start and end time, along with the appropriate rates.
                                      Then you realise, and have to repeat the process all over again by creating a new item.
                                      Or - If you click the blue arrow next to an item, Make this button say "Add Accessory" instead of "Add Item"

                                      • Allow users to disable confirming creating Stock Levels when scanning barcodes

                                        Specifically, our USB barcode scanner is configured to automatically insert a CRLF ("click" the 'Enter' key) when scanning in any barcodes. This works great for scanning items under the Detailed view of an Opportunity. However, it is frustrating while adding Serialized Assets under the Stock Levels of a Product, as the 'Enter' action causes the asset to be added immediately after scanning the asset number. This way, to enter the serial number, we must scroll back down on the Product page, edit the asset we just entered, and then scan-in the Serial Number. This also causes the same issue! It…

                                          Hi - we're using multiple stores and want to be able to restrict who has access to view what products are in some of the stores i.e. we want one end user to be able to see what is kept in one store but not what is kept in another.
